RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University of North Dakota Vs. Indiana State University

The University of North Dakota claimed an overtime victory against Indiana State University on Saturday afternoon in the Alerus Center, defeating the Sycamores 36-33 in Missouri Valley Football Conference play. The No. 15/17 ranked Fighting Hawks (5-3 overall, 3-2 MVFC) trailed 30-27 with less than a minute to play in regulation before kicker C.J. Elrichs booted a 32-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds left to tie the game. A Tommy Schuster-to-Quincy Vaughn 15-yard touchdown pass in overtime gave UND the 36-33 win. Schuster ended the day 25-for-34 for 273 yards and four touchdowns, a career high. Bo Belquist led UND receivers with eight catches for 101 yards and two touchdowns. Isaiah Smith had five receptions for 48 yards. On the ground, Smith added 109 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries. The Sycamores (0-8 overall, 0-5 MVFC) were led by quarterback Elijah Owens, who threw for 113 yards on a 7-13 performance. Harry Van Dyne led Sycamore receivers with 110 yards on seven catches and running back Justin Kinka ran for 82 yards on 16 carries.
