UND 4, ST. CLOUD STATE 1, Championship, NCAA West Regional, March 29, 2015

The University of North Dakota men’s hockey team (29-9-3) defeated St. Cloud State University (20-19-1) in the championship game of the NCAA West Regional on Saturday before a sold-out crowd at Fargo’s Scheels Arena. UND  advances to the NCAA Frozen Four in Boston, which starts April 9, to play Boston University ( 29-7-5) in a semifinal game.

UND (27-8-3) fell 3-2 to St. Cloud State University (19-17-1) in Friday’s semifinals of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference Frozen Four Tournament in Minneapolis’ Target Center. North Dakota will play in the third place game at 3:37 p.m. today against Denver University (22-13-2), which lost 6-3 to Miami University of Ohio (24-13-1) in Friday’s other semifinal game.
