Freshmen Jayden Perron and Jake Livanavage scored goals and goaltender Ludvig Persson stopped 21 of 22 shots to lead the University of North Dakota men’s hockey team to a 2-1 win over the University of Minnesota on Saturday night in Ralph Engelstad Arena. The victory for the Fighting Hawks (3-1) gave them a weekend split with the Gophers (3-1). Minnesota won Friday night’s game 4-0. UND returns to action as it hosts Minnesota State (Mankato) this coming weekend. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
