ABOUT US: The Fish Welcomes Brodshaug and Haglund

Unheralded.fish extends a hearty welcome to two new bloggers who have agreed to share their stories with readers of our site. Nothing busts our buttons more than adding people who want to share their thoughts, ideas and opinions via the written word.

Jackie Qualley Brodshaug grew up, married and raised a family on a farm near Fargo. As her four children finished school, she started college, eventually earning a master’s degree from MSUM, Moorhead. Beyond the farm, she has served on the West Fargo (N.D.) School Board, as a District 13 West Fargo Dem-NPL legislator and on several nonprofit boards. She is currently finishing a memoir but can’t seem to get politics out of her system.

Daniel Haglund, 46, is a former page designer at The Forum newspaper who currently sells insurance and annuities for Sons of Norway and group insurance for Colonial Life. He also drives Uber every week. While at The Forum of Fargo-Moorhead from 1994-2013, Dan played myriad roles including reporting, photographing, writing columns, editing magazines, illustrating and creating graphics. Dan has two children, Jonathan, 22, and Delana, 18, and lives in Moorhead.
