The University of North Dakota women’s volleyball team defeated Montana State on Saturday afternoon in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center, running its home winning streak to 11. UND lost the first game 25-27 before reeling off three straight wins (25-21, 25-22, 25-19). The home win streak is its longest since UND joined the Big Sky Conference. Freshman Courtney Place had 14 kills and added a career-best 15 digs in the win for her seventh double-double of the season. Faith Dooley chipped in 14 kills, while setter Sydney Griffin had 49 assists and totaled nine digs. North Dakota 3-1 in the Big Sky and 14-6 overall, continues its five-game homestand Thursday when it welcomes Weber State to the Betty.
