Junior Stephanie Smith had one of her biggest games as a University of North Dakota women’s basketball player Saturday night, recording her first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds as the Fighting Hawks edged the Big Sky Conference foe University of North Colorado 54-51 in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. UND, 5-4 in the BSC and 9-11 overall, grabbed its fourth-consecutive win to move over the .500 mark in Big Sky play for the first time this season. Northern Colorado dropped to 4-5 in the BSC and 9-10 overall. Makailah Dyer led UND with 13 points and added six rebounds and five assists. UNC was paced by Savannah Smith, who scored 15 points.
