RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University Of North Dakota Vs. University Of Alabama-Huntsville

The University of North Dakota men’s hockey team set a record for most consecutive home wins (13) in Ralph Engelstad Arena since it opened in 2001 and also pushed its season unbeaten streak to 15 games, the longest active streak in the nation, with a 5-2 win over the University of Alabama-Huntsville on Saturday night. Five different players scored for the Fighting Hawks (16-1-2). Jordan Kawaguchi led the way with a highlight-reel goal. Also scoring were Shane Pinto, Collin Adams, Westin Michaud and Ethan Frisch, who scored the first goal of his collegiate career. Connor Merkley and Austin Beaulieu scored for the Chargers (1-16-3). Adam Scheel stopped 11 shots in goal for the Fighting Hawks, while UAH goalie Mark Sinclair had 33 saves. UND returns to National Collegiate Athletic Conference play next weekend at home with a two-game series against the University of Nebraska-Omaha. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
