MICHAEL BOGERT: Photo Gallery — Lake Bemidji State Park

Lake Bemidji State Park offers a variety of things to do for people in search of outdoor adventure. Located on the north end of Lake Bemidji in northwestern Minnesota, the park touts a sandy beach; hiking and biking trails; boat, canoe and kayak rental; a children’s playground; volleyball court and year-round naturalist programs as well as wildlife viewing and marvelous sunsets over the water. Flora and fauna includes pines, spring flowers and fall colors in a maple forest, a unique bogwalk that winds into a  spruce-tamarack bog with rare orchids and insect-eating plants. Grand Forks photographer Michael Bogert recently spent a day there, and here is what he saw.
