RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — Grand Forks Central And Grand Forks Red River Vs. Fargo Davies

Grand Forks Central clinched first place in the Eastern Dakota Conference with a 10-6 high school baseball win over Fargo Davies on Thursday at Kraft Memorial Field. The Knights, who finished the regular season with a 9-1record in the EDC and 12-4 overall, were led by Parker Stroh, who was 4-4 with four RBI, and Brandon Holt, who was 3-3 and scored three runs. Cade Barta picked up the win, and Stroh was credited with a save. Earlier in the day, the Eagles dropped a 5-4 decision to Grand Forks Red River. The Riders (7-2 EDC, 9-5 overall) were led by Parker Monette, who was 3-4, and Zach Carolin, who was 2-3 with a home run. Carolin also picked up the win. Red River closes the regular season Saturday at Fargo South. Central and Red River will both host an East Region quarterfinal Tuesday with opponents to be determined. The remainder of the tournament will be played next weekend in Devils Lake. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
