RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University Of North Dakota Vs. University Of Minnesota-Duluth

The University of North Dakota men’s hockey team snapped a three-game National Collegiate Hockey Conference losing streak and won for the first time its last six visits to Duluth’s AMSOIL Arena with Saturday night’s 2-1 victory over the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Jordan Kawaguchi and Grant Mismash scored first-period goals and and goalie Adam Scheel  stopped 28 of 29 shots as the Fighting Hawks improved to 8-6-1 overall and 2-4-0 in the NCHC. The Bulldogs’ Tanner Laderoute also scored in the first period, and the two teams played scoreless the rest of the game. Goalie Hunter Shepard stopped 28 shots for UMD (10-3-1 overall, 4-2 NCHC). UND completes the first half of the season next weekend at home against Denver University.
