TIM MADIGAN: Anything Mentionable — An Amazing Night Of Music With Luke And Kyle

Last Friday night, my wife and I were treated to amazing music made even more special because the artists were friends.

A year after he charmed America on “The Voice,” Luke Wade put on an electric performance before a huge outdoor crowd at Levitt Pavilion in Arlington, Texas. For his encore of “Stand By Me,” he did something so typically Luke — he disappeared from the stage into the middle of the audience to try to make an even closer connection.

Then, after the applause died down, we found Kyle Redd at the Grease Monkey just around the corner from the pavilion. I’ve never heard Kyle sound better. Can’t wait for his new album early next year. His new songs are going to put him on the singer/songwriter map around the nation.

Both Luke and Kyle played at the launch party for my novel last spring, and I was reminded Friday what an honor that was. They both enrich our lives beyond measure.
