Jordan Kawaguchi, Matt Kierstad and Gavin Hain scored goals and goalie Adam Scheel stopped 14 of 15 shots to lead the University of North Dakota men’s hockey team to a 3-1 win over Michigan Tech University in the 2019 U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame game Saturday night in Ralph Engelstad Arena. The Fighting Hawks have won seven straight U.S. Hockey Hall of Game games. Kawaguchi’s goal, on a setup from Collin Adams with less than eight minutes remaining in the game, snapped a 1-1 tie to give the Fighting Hawks (5-1-1) the winning edge. Hain added an empty-net goal in the last minute of play to seal the win over the Huskies (3-4). Justin Misiak scored the lone MTU goal. Tech goalie Robbie Beydoun had 21 saves.
