RON SCHALOW: Kelly Armstrong Sells Out America

“This isn’t about political affiliation,” Congressman Kelly Armstrong told Chuck Todd with a straight face after A-Stro questioned Robert Mueller’s military hero grade integrity in front of a national audience.

The Cult Commissioner told Kelly to “hit the old man in the face with a dead squid.” The live ones can get unruly and might swallow a cat.

So he did. Kelly slapped the Director in the face with a fresh cephalopod. In earlier times, a duel would have been in order.

The conflicts of interest charges you laid at the feet of a heavily decorated Marine, who worked for Republican presidents, was appointed special counsel by a Republican and is a Republican, was the act of a shameless cowardly Donald Trump cultist. Violence should have broken out.

I know Kelly thinks he did well. He was all smiles when he talked to Todd.

But Mueller outsmarted the lot of them. He took the five minutes every congressperson was allotted and reduced it by 25 percent. Could you repeat that? Can you tell me what page that is? What in the hell are you talking about? Could you fetch me a glass of scotch? Macallan if you got it.

The North Dakota Republican put on a smarmy show for the big guy. I don’t know why. Trump has already lied about the whole exercise and KA will go along with anything DT says if he can figure out what he said. I think Donnie is at the point of denying that any words were actually exchanged at the Mueller hearings.

If Armstrong can’t put the best interests of the country ahead of his political ambitions, maybe he should go back to where he came from. It won’t be above water for long, but please return to the island of Hannity conspiracy theories, the deep state and the thousands of Trump lies where your claim of conflict was born. I say that with no due respect.

Be an American, or be a toilet brush for a racist obscenity who accepted help from an enemy nation to win an election. When the 450 pages of proof couldn’t be discredited, Kelly decided to smear the investigators, just as Trump famously verbally attacks the many women he has physically assaulted.

And lie.

“Some of the investigators on Mueller’s team are Democrats and donated to Clinton, but Mueller and everyone else in charge of the probe — including Rod Rosenstein, who appointed Mueller as special counsel — is a Republican. There is no evidence that political bias affected the investigation.

Facing claims from Republican lawmakers that his probe was biased, Mueller gave an impassioned defense of his team during his testimony Wednesday.

“I’ve been in this business for almost 25 years. In those 25 years, I’ve not had occasion once to ask about somebody’s political affiliation,” Mueller said. “It is not done. What I care about is the capacity of the individual to do the job and do the job seriously and quickly and with integrity.” — Los Angeles Times

Evidence? A lawyer as cagey as Armstrong must know about the evidence thing and that he hasn’t spilled a drop of it.

Russia helped Trump win in 2016, Trump and his gang welcomed the help, and Trump lied to the American citizens about his business dealings in Russia. It was in the report. Mueller confirmed those facts in person. Armstrong may have heard since he was in the room. Dr. Mueller provided unimaginary evidence.

But Kelly wants to talk about Peter Strzok, Andrew Weissmann, Jeannie Rhee, Aaron Zelbley and others whose names show up subliminally and loudly during Fox News shows for the conspiracy nuts in the audience.

Locally, we have all kinds of media boneheads that hang on to every false Fox word like POVnow on KVLY, Scott Hennen somewhere on the radio dial and the Forum’s Rob Port and his regulars who live on his comment wall of hate.

“… attorney number two was let go and we know Peter Strzok was let go, correct?

So the hell what?

“… do you agree that your office did not only have an obligation to operate with independence but to operate with the appearance of independence as well?”

If appearances are such an important thing in Kelly’s life, he’s keeping the wrong company. A good percentage of Trumpophiles end up in jail or get ripped off by the master of all things grotesque.

Besides that, the “appearance of independence” was there. The only people who can’t acknowledge that the investigation was clean, are those with a special Tucker Carlson kaleidoscope of propaganda.

“Andrew Weissmann attended Hillary Clinton’s election night party.”

So the hell what?

“… six of your lawyers donated $12,000 directly to Hillary Clinton. I’m not even talking about the $49,000 they donated to other democrats, just the donations to the opponent who was the target of your investigation.”

How many people has the Keldog handed money to? How many people have handed more than $2,000 to Armstrong? He has no “appearance of independence” in his comments, votes or his hard-fought war to get his constituents properly informed about climate change.

To repeat: “I have been in this business for almost 25 years, and in those 25 years, I have not had occasion once to ask somebody about their political affiliation. It is not done. What I care about is the capability of the individual to do the job and do the job quickly and seriously and with integrity.”

Kelly says it’s not enough for him. He practiced law in Dickinson, N.D., you know.

“It’s just simply not enough that you vouch for your team. The interest (inaudible) demand that no perceived bias exists.”

Robert Mueller has a spotless reputation that precedes Kelly’s birth. Mueller was taking gunfire in the jungle, while Donnie Jr. was chasing debutantes on daddy’s dime. American banks won’t even vouch for Trump. Who would you trust with your teenage daughter?

Is Trump trustworthy? The American people say no. Is he knowledgeable? Nein. Stable? Nope. Compassionate? Hardly. Polling proves this out.

But the people know he is a sexist, reckless, racist and a white nationalist with a terribly optimistic barber. Donald Trump has depleted our thesauruses and introduced cruelty to children for fun. Plus old DT has nothing but perceived bias.

“If Peter Strzok has texted those terrible things about Hillary Clinton instead of President Trump, if a team of lawyers worked for, donated thousands of dollars to and went to Trump’s parties instead of Clinton’s, I don’t think we’d be here trying to prop up an obstruction allegation.”

Besides this bullshit conclusion on the part of the congressman, obstruction of justice has been proven tenfold. It doesn’t need to be propped up. We all watched the swollen abscess do it all right in the open.

“They (the Democrats) would still be accusing the president of conspiracy with Russia and they would be accusing your team of aiding and embedding with that conspiracy, and with that, I yield back.”

According to KA, Democrats would be accusing Mueller’s team of aiding some conspiracy, if this, if that. That’s a colorful yarn with no basis in reality.

And then, the quick yield to the chair for Armstrong after he dishonestly slandered an honest man and threw his own body in front of a long time indecent huckster.

This Armstrong character leaves me quite dispirited with NDak politics. This is the quality of person who speaks to and for us? He really does define smarminess. But my favorite line (since we should at least try to laugh instead of cry) is that DJT’s barber is terribly optimistic!
