RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University Of North Dakota Vs. North Dakota State University

The University of North Dakota women’s softball team, after dropping a pair of games to North Dakota State University on Saturday in Fargo, came back to win 6-4 Sunday in the season finale for both teams. The Fighting Hawks (22-33 overall, 7-11 Summit League) lost 3-0 and 14-0 to the Bison on Saturday. On Sunday, UND was led in batting by Dani Romero, who was 2-4 with a home run and two RBI. Pitcher Emily Rojas got the win, while Jannay Jones picked up a save. The defeat was only the second conference loss this season for the Bison (38-13 overall, 16-2 Summit). North Dakota enters postseason play as the No. 5 seed in the Summit League Softball Championship and will battle the No. 4 seed South Dakota State at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Fargo. The game is single-elimination with the winner advancing to play NDSU at noon Thursday. (Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.)
