RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University Of North Dakota Vs. North Dakota State University

The University of North Dakota women’s volleyball team won its 10th match of the season in 11 tries, topping in-state rival North Dakota State University before a sold-out crowd of 3,140 fans Wednesday night in Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. The Fighting Hawks swept the Bison 25-18, 25-9, 25-13 behind the second-largest crowd in the Betty’s history. Faith Dooley led UND with a team-high nine kills and was supported by Jordan Vail and Ashley Brueggeman, who each added seven kills. NDSU was led by McKenzie Burke, who recorded 13 kills. The Bison fell to 4-3 with the loss. UND returns to action Friday, when it will host George Washington (11:30 a.m.) and Appalachian State (7 p.m.). The Fighting Hawks then play South Dakota State at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Betty.
