RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery — University of North Dakota vs. University of Minnesota-Duluth

The University of North Dakota women’s hockey team solidified its No. 9 ranking Sunday by skating to a 2-2 tie with No. 3 Minnesota-Duluth in Ralph Engelstad Arena. UND (6-4-2 overall, 5-4-1-1 in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association) won in a shootout, 1-0, to gain the extra point. UMD (7-2-3, 6-2-2-1 WCHA) jumped out to a 2-0 lead before UND’s Amy Menke and Charly Dalquist scored to tie the game, setting up Ryleigh Houston’s shootout goal. Katherine McGovern and Sidney Morin scored goals for the Bulldogs, who won Saturday’s game 3-2. Lexie Shaw had 20 saves in net for UND, while Maddy Rooney stopped 30 for the Bulldogs. North Dakota hosts No. 2 Minnesota on Friday and Saturday. Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.
