It’s not all serious competition at the Ryder Cup. On Tuesday, the first day of the 41st annual event that pits the best golfers from the United States and Europe against each other, the pros practiced in the morning, and then the celebrities took over with matches in the afternoon. Actor Bill Murray, swimmer Michael Phelps, musician Huey Lewis, former tennis star Martina Navratilova, pop star Niall Horan, surfing champ Kelly Slater, former National Hockey League star and now commentator Jeremy Roenick, chef Todd English,actors Kurt Russell and Rob Riggle and others entertained the crowd and played some darned good golf. Here are some of the images Grand Forks photographer Russ Hons snapped. Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.
