RUSS HONS: Photo Gallery —College Football, University Of North Dakota Vs. University Of South Dakota

Keaton Studsrud’s 1-yard plunge in overtime gave the University of North Dakota a stunning 47-44 come-from-behind victory over the University of South Dakota in the 51st annual Potato Bowl game Saturday in the Alerus Center in Grand Forks. The Fighting Hawks trailed 34-14 in the the third quarter before staging the comeback. UND (1-2) forced the extra session by scoring the final 20 points of regulation, including 17 in the fourth quarter. The Coyotes (1-2) were coming off a 21-point rally and double-overtime win of their own last week against Weber State. UND sophomore John Santiago had his 11th career 100-yard rushing game (22 carries for 140 yards) and scored a pair of touchdowns. Studsrud ended the game with a 12-25 passing performance and two touchdown passes and one interception. Both safety Cole Reyes and corneback Deion Harris returned interceptions for Fighting Hawks touchdowns. UND’s Travis Toivonen caught an 11-yard touchdown pass and Reid Taubenheim kicked two field goals for UND. USD was led by quarterback Chris Streveler who was 16-29 passing with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Streveler also rushed for 90 yards on 19 carries. Drew Potter caught two of the Streveler touchdown passes. UND opens Big Sky play next Saturday at Montana State. Check out more photos from Russ Hons here.
